  The Higher Institute of Engineering

Introduction to the institute and programs

  • The Higher Institute of Engineering was established in 1995 by Ministerial Resolution issued by the Ministry of Higher Education No. 1712 dated 11/22/1995. The headquarters of the Institute was at that time (10th of Ramadan City) and the number of the Institute’s programs was five academic programs (Electronics Engineering, Electrical Communications, Computers and Control - Medical Engineering). – Chemical Engineering – Electrical Power and Machinery Engineering – Architectural Engineering).
The language of study at the institute is English, and the duration of study at the institute is 5 academic years to obtain a bachelor’s degree in engineering and register in the department in the first year after the preparatory year. 
  • The graduate is awarded an academic degree certificate (Bachelor’s) from the Central Administration for Private Education of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, after a decision to approve the results of the final teams’ examinations from the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
  • The graduate is also granted a degree equivalency decision (Bachelor's) from the Supreme Council of Universities
  • The graduate is also granted an accreditation decision from the National Authority for Educational Quality Assurance and Accreditation.
